Meet Perky the Horse!

We’re excited to welcome a very special guest to the Senior Center, Perky, the beloved 34 year old equine partner of longtime member and lifelong equestrian Barb O’Kelly.

As Barb puts it, “Seems kind of fitting to have an elderly horse visit the Senior Center!”

Barb and Perky will be here for an in-person meet-and-greet, and that’s not all! We’ll also enjoy a short video of Barb’s Century Club Ride, a special recognition for horse and rider pairs whose combined ages total 100 or more. The video is less than 10 minutes long and will be followed by a few words from Barb about her and Perky’s journey together.

This touching program is a celebration of aging with grace, strength, and companionship, and a beautiful tribute to the bond between humans and animals. Don’t miss it!
