The Suzuki program has been part of the Okemos Community Education Program for over 50 years. Students as young as three learn to play the violin, viola, or cello and can continue their studies through high school. Students can begin at any age.The program consists of a weekly private lesson and a weekly group class. Solo recitals and group concerts are also a part of the program. Lessons are taught by highly trained teachers after school at Chippewa Middle School. Universal Pre-K Before/After CareOkemos Universal Pre-KThe Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan’s free PreK program for eligible four-year-olds. Ranked #1 in the U.S., it’s a safe place where children learn how to get along with others, share, take turns, and make friends. Math, reading, and thinking skills are taught every day through fun, hands-on activities. GSRP will help make sure your child is ready for kindergarten and beyond. The Okemos Edgewood GSRP program is grant funded through the Ingham ISD. Our programs are Monday-Friday with the option of 8:30am-3:00pm or 9:00am-3:30pm.
